You're invited to join a dynamic group of men, women, and young adults who serve Health First, its hospitals and affiliates, and the community. Our volunteers are men and women of all ages and walks of life. Each volunteer brings his or her own special skills and experience, but shares a common purpose, too. Our volunteers all have in common their own special skills, experience and willingness to help and comfort patients, and provide support to our staff. When you become a volunteer, you always receive more than you give. Some of the most pleasant moments enjoyed by our patients are moments given by volunteers.

The Auxiliary...

The core of our hospital volunteer services are the Cape Canaveral Hospital Auxiliary and Holmes Regional Medical Center/Palm Bay Community Hospital Auxiliary who provide financial support, direction, and leadership. Since their inceptions, the auxiliaries have contributed millions of hours of valuable service, and raised money to help finance hospital building projects, purchase new equipment, and sponsor community health programs. The ongoing service of the auxiliary touches the lives of many... patients, visitors, physicians, and employees alike.

We need you!

We have more than 1,000 members ranging in age from 15 to 90+! Training is provided in each service assignment. Volunteers are acquainted and familiarized with each Health First hospital and the Volunteer Services Department during a comprehensive orientation program. We'll teach you everything you need to know to handle your new responsibilities.
