Lee Scheinbart, MD

Dr. Scheinbart is board certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology. Dr. Scheinbart grew up outside of Akron, Ohio. After graduating high school, Dr. Scheinbart spent a year in New York City studying philosophy and political science at the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University. Upon completion of his studies, Dr. Scheinbart went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Biology from the University of Michigan. After earning his bachelors, Dr. Scheinbart returned to Ohio and earned his medical degree at The Ohio State University. Dr. Scheinbart then spent 5 years in Gainesville training in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital.

While in Gainesville, Dr. Scheinbart spent time researching immunologic responses in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. He also participated in clinical trials and bone marrow transplants at the Shands Cancer Center. In 1998, Dr Scheinbart moved to Melbourne and since his arrival he has chaired several cancer program committees at Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center and also served as a Board Member for Hospice of Health First. Dr. Scheinbart was instrumental in the development of the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay. Dr. Scheinbart later served as the Medical Director of Hospice of Health First. While serving in the role of Director, he became board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. At present, Dr. Scheinbart serves as the Medical Director of the Medical Group's Cancer Services.
