Mario Ruberte, MD
Dr. Ruberte, a board-certified Internist, is a graduate of Catholic University of Puerto Rico, the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara Medical School, and the Fifth Pathway Program at the New York Medical College. He received his postgraduate training from Eastern Virginia Medical School (Residency), and spent one year doing Hospitalist work at Sentara Health Systems in Virginia Beach.
He is the Medical Director at the Melbourne Terrace Rehabilitation Facility and an Associate Professor at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. His professional interests include complete adult medical care, inpatient and outpatient care, physical exams, and flu shots; his office procedures include joint and soft tissue injections and skin biopsies. He has hospital privileges at Viera Hospital and Holmes Regional Medical Center. In 2011 Dr. Ruberte received recognition for the delivery of Quality Diabetes Care by NCQA (the National Committee for Quality Assurance). The same year he received recognition for providing excellent care to persons with cardiovascular disease or stroke from NCQA's Heart/Stroke recognition program.
Dr. Ruberte was born in Puerto Rico and speaks English and Spanish fluently. When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys the beach, boating, culinary arts, and spending time with his family.
