Susan Rouse, ARNP
I came to the Melbourne area in 1992 after surviving Hurricane Andrew in south Florida. I attended Brevard Community College and received my ADN as a registered nurse. After four years of nursing, I decided to become a Nurse Practitioner in order to provide better care to the patient. As a breast cancer survivor, I wanted to be able to give the quality care that I feel a patient deserves. I really enjoy listening and educating patients about their health.
I have worked in women's health to include mother/baby, gynecology and pediatric care. After graduating as a nurse practitioner, I spent three years in a family practice caring for patients of all ages. I currently have worked in the acute care setting since 2010.
Besides working as a Nurse Practitioner, I am a clinical instructor at UCF helping students reach their goals of becoming a nurse practitioner. In my spare time, I enjoy time with my husband, 3 children and 6 grandchildren. We really enjoy traveling and sporting events.
