Stephanie Prada, MD
A hospitalist is a provider who specializes in caring for patients while they are in the hospital. Hospitalists work closely with your primary care provider and frequently inform him or her of your condition.
When you require hospitalization, your provider or an Emergency Department physician will coordinate your admission with a hospitalist. The hospitalists are on site 24 hours a day and work closely with all hospital staff to coordinate your care.
Stephanie Solange Prada, MD is part of our Health First hospitalist team. She is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Prada earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Florida State University (FSU), College of Medicine in Tallahassee. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Orlando Health, Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Before joining Health First Medical Group, Dr. Prada was an internal medicine physician with Orlando Health Physicians Group.
Dr. Prada conducted many presentations regarding Common Primary Care Complaints, Osteoporosis, Chronic Pancreatitis, Urinary Incontinence and Autoimmune Hepatitis.
She held numerous leadership positions, including founding member and Vice President of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Interest Group at FSU College of Medicine and American Medical Association Delegate at FSU COM Orlando Regional Campus. She also served on the Residency Advisory Committee.
Dr. Prada received numerous honors, including the Golden Key Honor's Society and the Dean's List from the University of Central Florida. She was the recipient of the EC and Tillie Allen College of Medicine Scholarship at Florida State University.
Dr. Prada in proficient in Spanish (written and spoken), and conversationally fluent in French.
