Sheila McLeod, MD
Dr. McLeod is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH. She earned her Bachelor of Science at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. Dr. McLeod completed her residency in Pediatric Medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.
Dr. McLeod most recently worked in Private Pediatric Practice in Port St. Lucie, FL. She has also served as the Chief Medical Officer and Outpatient Pediatrician at Brevard Health Alliance in Melbourne, FL, Medical Director and Staff Pediatrician at Treasure Coast Community Health in Fellsmere, FL, Pediatric Hospitalist and Outpatient Pediatrician at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Memorial Primary Care Clinic in Hollywood, FL, and a Pediatric Hospitalist in the North Broward Hospital District in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Her experience also includes working as a Staff Physician in the Newborn Intermediate Care Unit at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and as a Staff Pharmacist for MedCenter Hospital Pharmacy in Marion, OH.
A member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. McLeod has also completed research in Primary Care Medical Home Study in conjunction with the University of Florida and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received Academic Appointments to Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University Department of Pediatrics from 2003-2010 and at Florida State University College of Medicine in 2009.
Dr. McLeod is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and is a former member of the Senior Physicians Advisory Council for Health First hospitals. She is a former Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and former Team Co-Leader of the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Team at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Dr. McLeod is medically proficient in Spanish.
