Megan S. McClain, MSN, FNP-C

Megan S. McClain is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Megan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Education specializing in Health Promotion from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She then earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Brevard Community College. She continued her education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. She then completed a Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO.

Megan completed her FNP clinical rotations in dermatology, internal medicine, pediatrics, primary care and women’s health (OB/GYN) while rounding on patients in both the acute care and long-term care settings.

Megan has been working with Health First since 2003. She has worked in the Labor and Delivery Unit for Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center and the Neuro/Trauma Progressive Care Unit. She served as a preceptor for new hires and students for both departments.

Megan holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support. She also is certified in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program.

Megan has earned numerous awards and honors. In 2015, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and graduated her Master’s degree with honors. In 2013, she was named “Nurse of the Year” by her peers. She was on the Dean’s List at Brevard Community College, the University of Florida and Jacksonville University.

Megan lives in Valkaria, FL and enjoys spending time doing outdoor activities with her husband and four daughters.
