Each of those work experiences has had an impact on his medical practice and life today.
After graduating from his father's Alma Mater he attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. on an Army scholarship and then served six years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Honolulu (Family Practice residency), Hawaii; then in Kansas and finally in Bavaria, Germany. His Residency training was rigorous and included the full spectrum of Family Medicine, including Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Adult Medicine, Critical Care, Surgery (minor), Orthopedics, Dermatology, and Psychiatry. He has delivered hundreds of babies but stopped the Obstetrics part of his practice shortly before moving to Florida.
He was certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 1994 and has been re-certified twice since then. In recognition of his training, service, and continuing medical education, he has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine.
He was selected Chief of Medicine at Cape Canaveral Hospital twice and has served on numerous hospital committees.
