Kristin DeRoy, PA
Kristin DeRoy earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
She completed her clinical rotation in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry with Malcolm Randall VA Hospital in Gainesville, her General Surgery, Critical Care and General Surgery rotation with Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center, her Women’s Health rotation with UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL, her Pediatric rotation with Palms Medical Group in Branford, FL, her Primary Care 1 rotation with Melbourne Urgent Care and her Primary Care 2 rotation with Dr. Binkard in Pensacola, FL.
Most recently, Kristin served as the Unit Assistant and Patient Care Assistant (Trauma/Lung Transplant Unit) with UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She also has experience serving as Personal Assistant Services Program in Gainesville, FL for the Patient Care Assistant in Private Duty where she maintained the safety and well-being of a patient with muscular dystrophy.
Committed to community service, Kristin has also served as a volunteer with the Equal Access Clinic in Gainesville, FL, a Medical Relief Worker in Costa Rica with the University of Florida International Medical Outreach Club, a Volunteer Medical Assistant with Darden Wellness Center in Orlando, FL and as a volunteer with UF Shands Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology Unit.
Kristin is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and 2014-2016 recipient of the Frederick W. and Grace P. Brecht Scholarship. She also received the Beacon Award of Excellence at UF Shands Hospital and several of their “Keys of Excellence” awards.
