Celeste Danforth, ARNP

Hospitalist

A hospitalist is a provider who specializes in caring for patients while they are in the hospital. Hospitalists work closely with your primary care provider and frequently inform him or her of your condition.

When you require hospitalization, your provider or an Emergency Department physician will coordinate your admission with a hospitalist. The hospitalists are on site 24 hours a day and work closely with all hospital staff to coordinate your care.

Celeste Danforth, ARNP is part of our Health First hospitalist team. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Nursing. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of the State of New York, Regents College in Albany, NY.

She is certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN). She also holds certifications from the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Before joining Health First, Celeste served as an RN in the Cardiac Care and Intensive Care Units at Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington, MA. She has also served as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA.

Celeste also spent time with Cross Country/Trav Corps in Malden, MA where she accepted bedside care travel assignments ranging from 13 to 26 weeks in post-operative open-heart surgery, coronary intensive care and intensive care units. Celeste worked for Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center from 1990-1998 as an RN in the CVICU, CCU, SICU and MICU. She also has experience as an RN at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL.
