It's About Time!

Health First thanks the thousands of residents, physicians, and community leaders as well as our own associates who have supported a new hospital for Viera.

The last legal hurdle was cleared on March 25, opening the way for Health First to build the 100-bed Viera Hospital expected to open in 2010.

The new 250,000-square-foot full-service hospital will feature 84 all private, inpatient rooms, 16 observation beds, full medical and surgical capabilities, a 24-hour Emergency Department, and outpatient diagnostic and treatment services such as a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Site preparation will begin this fall and construction is expected to take 24 months.

The construction you now see underway at Viera Health Park is for the new Pro-Health & Fitness Center and outpatient physical rehabilitation services scheduled to open in early fall. A medical office building is expected to open in 2009.
