Mahboob Alikhan, MD, a Board-certified gastroenterology physician, recently joined Health First Physicians in the Cape Canaveral Hospital Medical Plaza at 699 W. Cocoa Beach Causeway, Suite 601, in Cocoa Beach (adjacent to Cape Canaveral Hospital).

He will join the Gastroenterology practice of Salman Rashid, MD, and Hassan Borghei, DO, in Cocoa Beach. Dr. Alikhan is now accepting both new and estabished patients.

"Our Gastroenterology practice is one of the busiest specialties we have in terms of patient need and physician referral," said William Morgan, MD, medical director of Health First Physicians. "We are pleased to add a third Gastroenterology specialist to the growing practice led by Dr. Rashid and Dr. Borghei. Earning his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL, Dr. Alikhan served his residency at Indiana University Medical Center. He received his Board-certification in Gastroenterology from the American Medical Association.
