ROCKLEDGE, FL - Michael D. Means, President and CEO of Health First, has been chosen as a Finalist for Ernst & Young's 2011 Entrepreneur Of the Year Award.
The Entrepreneur Of the Year program honors entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their business and community.
Mr. Means is one of three Central Florida finalists chosen by an independent judging panel made up of previous winners of the award, leading CEOs, private capital investors, and other regional business leaders.
The Entrepreneur Of the Year program honors entrepreneurs regionally in June, leading up to the national awards. All regional honorees are invited to the Entrepreneur Of the Year annual ceremony in November.
"I am honored by the recognition, but the truth is an entrepreneur is judged on what he has achieved and very few successes are achieved alone," said Mr. Means. "Any success I have enjoyed has always been a team effort with the thousands of dedicated men and women at Health First who have worked tirelessly to reach our common goals. I accept this nomination on their behalf as well."
The Florida winners will be revealed at an event on Thursday, June 16, at the Omni Orlando Resort at Championship Gate.
