Health First Foundation awards scholarships to area students

ROCKLEDGE, FL - The Health First Foundation has awarded ten students healthcare scholarships out of 86 students from all over Brevard who applied for the scholarships. The scholarships included the J. Edward Field Memorial Scholarship, Dr. Fred Turner Memorial Scholarship, Vince Spezzano Memorial Scholarship, Genevieve Brombacher Scholarship, and the Health First Foundation Scholarships.

Recipients must reside in Brevard County and be graduated high school seniors with a 3.0 or higher grade point average. If this grade point average is maintained during their second year in college, the student is eligible to receive another $1,000 scholarship.

This year's scholarship winners included: John Pierce,Viera High School, received Dr. Fred Turner Memorial Scholarship; Hannah Smouse, Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School, received the J. Edward Field Memorial Scholarship; Hannah Prince, Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School, received the Vince Spezzano Memorial Scholarship; Jerome Curran, Merritt Island High School, received the Dr. Brian P. Gibbons Memorial Scholarship; and Rick Early, Brevard Community College, received the Genevieve Brombacher Scholarship.

Additionally, Health First Foundation Scholarships were awarded to Eric Beyer, Rockledge High School; Robert Lenoci, Palm Bay High School; Nicole Ocasio, Bayside High School; Sabrina Stackhouse, Melbourne High School; and Lisa Hoang, University of Florida.

Health First Foundation congratulates these scholarship recipients for their outstanding work and wishes them the best of luck in their hopes of becoming healthcare professionals.
