First Brevard Baby of 2011 Continues a Family Tradition: Grandma was a New Year's Baby Too!

Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center Welcomes Baby New Year!

MELBOURNE, FL - Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center welcomed Brevard's first baby of the new year today.

Beautiful baby Talullah Amber Seefelt was born at 8:54 am at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Talullah weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces. Talullah's mom, Melissa Luster and dad Brian Seefelt are so excited about their new arrival.

Talullah is the first baby for the Melbourne, Florida couple. Talullah was due January 10th (dad says they were hoping for the 11th so they could say she was born 1/1/11). But because the baby was breech, a c-section had been scheduled for January 5th. However, Talullah had other plans! Melissa went into labor around 10pm New Year's Eve. She called Brian, a Brevard County Firefighter Paramedic, who was at work, and the couple rushed to Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Incredibly, Talullah is not the first New Year's baby in the family. Her paternal grandmother was also a New Year's baby!

The Birth Suites, Holmes Regional Medical Center's mother/baby wing, features 23 private, exquisitely appointed post-partum rooms, many with magnificent views of the Indian River. They feature seven special care rooms, eight birthing rooms, two C-section rooms and 14 nursery beds. All of these features are complemented by our Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Happy New Year from Health First Media Relations!
