Who: Health First employees volunteering their time
Where: 1745 Bluebird Court, Melbourne, FL
ROCKLEDGE, FL - Hundreds of Health First employees volunteering at multiple locations across Brevard County; and countless hours of community service! On Friday, February 18th and Saturday, February 19th, members of the Health First family will be donating their time as part of Health First's "Volunteer Army" is dispatched across the area to tackle community service projects.
Headlining the second annual "Caring for Brevard" community service project is the repair and renovation of a home for low-income families. The home is owned by Community of Hope, a non-profit organization providing housing for low-income families, some of whom may have been affected by the economic recession during the last two years.
Health First volunteers will renovate a Habitat for Humanity home, to include repair of the roof and help make other improvements to make it viable as transition housing for low-income or economically-affected families.
This massive volunteer outreach effort is part of the Health First's second annual Community Benefit campaign called "Caring for Brevard." As Brevard County's only multi-hospital not-for-profit system, "Caring for Brevard" is part of Health First's commitment to helping the Space Coast communities.
