Building meaningful relationships with physicians,
employers, emergency service personnel, other healthcare organizations,
and the community are key components to a successful trauma program.
- Partnerships, like those with the University
of Florida, allow us to effectively offer a superior level of care
to patients.
- Most recently, weve partnered with NASA
to be the preferred healthcare provider for astronauts in the event
of a contingency.
- Another important partnership is with Hibiscus Court, a beautiful
new assisted living community located across the street from HRMC. Theyve
reserved a special room for family members of trauma patients with no
other place to stay when visiting their loved ones at the hospital.
- Input from community and industry leaders is what separates us from
the rest. The Holmes Regional Trauma Advisory Council has been instrumental
in raising funds and gaining community support for HRTC initiatives.
- Together with the Brain Injury
Association of Florida and the Brevard County Office of Transportation
and Planning, HRTC has sponsored the "Helmutt"
program, promoting and explaining proper helmet use. We were also
able to donate 1,800 bicycle helmets to local children.
Were confident that our existing talents, coupled with those of
the university, as well as input from business and industry, will lead
our trauma program to becoming among the nations best.
