Patient & Family Library

About the Patient & Family Library

The Patient & Family Library, located at Holmes Regional Medical Center, provides you with valuable and trustworthy health information and resource services.  Written in everyday language, the resources in the Library are meant to help;

Demystify medical information and research

  Aid in healthcare decision making
Enrich communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Made possible by a generous donation from benefactors Warren and Evelyn Foster, the Patient & Family Library is open to the public.  Library guests are welcome to use our resources, including patients, visitors, family members, associates, and healthcare professionals.  Please keep in mind that materials contained in the library are provided for informational purposes only and should not be construed the same as medical advice from your personal physicians.  We always recommend that you use materials and information from this library to help formulate questions you might want to discuss with your personal healthcare practitioners.

Health First believes education is an integral part of your health care and can assist you in:

  Making informed decisions about the use of healthcare services, managing your illness, and implementing follow-up care.
