Our programs and services
Our 21-bed, level II Emergency Department includes special areas for pediatric treatment, obstetrics and gynecology, minor injury care, an isolation room, and a helipad for patient transfers. Certified "Baby-Friendly" by the World Health Organization and UNICEF, our Mother/Baby Unit includes a birthing suite complete with labor relaxation tub, eight private birthing rooms, a cesarean section room, and private postpartum rooms. Prepared childbirth classes at CCH
Our Cancer Care Program is approved by The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons and affiliated with the University of Florida/Shands Cancer Center.
Our Surgical Services include nine operation rooms, one cystology exam room, and a full-service room for endoscopy/GI procedures. Pre-surgical testing services are also available.
The Women's Diagnostic Center offers state-of-the-art, personalized services including mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy, and patient education. Staffed by board-certified radiologists and specially trained technologists, the center is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the US Food and Drug Administration.
Our Cardiovascular Laboratory performs echocardiography and has been accredited for extracranial cerebrovascular and peripheral arterial testing from the Inter-societal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). We also have Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories.
Diagnostic imaging services include general radiology, CT scans, accredited magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, angiography, nuclear medicine, and a PET scanner. Our powerful 1.5 Tesla "easy-view" MRI also offers maximum patient comfort and shorter exam times.
Accredited by the American College of Pathology and staffed by three board-certified pathologists, the full-service Laboratory meets standards set by the national Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act. The lab offers a blood bank, microbiology, hematology, histology, cytology, chemistry, special chemistry and urinalysis, and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Medical Plaza, a six-story facility adjacent to the hospital, is devoted to ambulatory services and also houses 16 physicians' offices. Other services in the plaza include preoperative testing and education, patient registration, the Healthcare Resource Center, the Conference Center, pain management, and lab and outpatient surgery and testing services.

A Healthcare Resource Center offering community and professional educational opportunities including classes, periodicals, books, a computerized health database, and videos on thousands of health-related topics. A 200-seat conference center is available for community use. Community education, support groups, and other events at CCH
