- During feeding, always hold your baby's head higher than the
rest of his body. Never prop your baby's bottle in the crib
or leave your baby alone during feedings.

of bright lights. Keep radios, televisions, and conversations
quiet.

infant to choke.
- After each feeding, place your child in bed on his/her back
or side. Raise the head of the bed upright at a 30 degree angle.
(Put pillows or blankets under the mattress.)
- If your doctor prescribes medication before or after the feeding,
make sure you give them to your baby at the specific times prescribed.
Do not put the medication in your baby's bottle.
- Thicken formula with cereal only if your doctor says it's
OK.
- If your doctor orders a certain number of ounces of formula
