Prepared Childbirth Course - Saturday (One-Day Class)

This class explores such topics as true and false labor, the labor/birth process, medical terminology, labor coping skills, pain relief options, cesarean birth, labor/birth choices, newborn characteristics, and adjustment to parenthood.

Register as early as possible and plan to complete classes about two to four weeks before your due date.

Please note: (1) Cost is per couple and pre-registration is required. (2) All participants must pay for classes at time of registration and apply for reimbursement through their insurance company. Prepared Childbirth Classes Sunday X2

This class explores such topics as true and false labor, the labor/birth process, medical terminology, labor coping skills, pain relief options, cesarean birth, labor/birth choices, newborn characteristics, and adjustment to parenthood.

These are 2 half day sessions held on consecutive Sundays from 1-5pm . The date listed is the first day of the series.

Breastfeeding and baby care classes are also offered at a nominal fee.

Sibling Class

Waiting for the arrival of a new baby is hard -- especially when you're going to be a new brother or sister! This one-session class helps prepare your child(ren) for the new arrival using a videotape, story, coloring book, a baby-holding practice session, discussion, and tour of the Women's Care Unit.

Please note: Cost is $5 per child and pre-registration is required. You must register each child separately. Children must be at least three years old and accompanied by a parent to participate.

Learn Infant CPR

Expectant parents, new parents, grandparents and siblings have a simple, convenient way to learn to perform infant CPR and to relieve choking thru the American Heart Association's Family & Friends Infant CPR training at Health First.

Breastfeeding Classes

Breastfeeding is a learned art. This one session class provides information on the many benefits that breastfeeding brings to your newborn. Topics include changes in breast milk production, positioning the newborn, "latch-on", diet, growth spurts, breast care, and support services.

Night Out With the Anesthesiologist

An anesthesiologist helps the class members explore the pros and cons of epidural anesthesia.

M.O.M's Group (Breastfeeding Support Group)

This is a breastfeeding support group for new mothers and their babies.

This group will meet on the following dates from 10:00-11:30 am in the HRMC Auditorium B

The group is lead by a Lactation Consultant. There is no charge or registration required.
