Brevard County Fires: May 12, 2008 - 7:30pm update

Welcome to the Health First Information Hot Line, updated for 7:30pm on May 12. A number of fast moving forest fires in the Palm Bay area are impacting Health First associates.

For their safety, we remind all associates to follow the instructions of local police and fire departments. The Red Cross has opened a public shelter at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Malabar Road.

All Brevard County Public Schools and many private schools in the PB area will be closed tomorrow. For the convenience of our associates, daycare will be provided starting at 6am in the community room at Palm Bay Community Hospital and at the Center for Child Development near HRMC. HF business center associates who need daycare should utilize one of these locations.

If an associate has been displaced or severely affected by these fires and needs housing assistance or other HR support, you can contact the Human Resources Department at 434-1995.
